- Make a lava lamp - Use houseware items to make lava lamps to understand acid/base chemistry and surface tension.
- How sour is your drink? - pH testing of daily drinks with pH strips.
- Meet with Mr. Spiky - Ferrofluid demonstration to understand Fe-containing nanoparticles.
- Don't break my heart - A 3D heart puzzle and another two artery models were used to educate people about coronary heart disease.
- It's a 2D world! - Observe 2D materials under microscope for materials science demonstration.

Ben, Linh, Ricky, and Tian held four activities: 1. pH testing on common drinks; 2. Ferrofluid with magnets; 3. Coronary artery diseases models and poster; 4. 2D materials under microscope.
2020 Santa Fe High School Outreach Event - 1/31/2020
Tian, Kristi, and Alex hosted a chemistry lab tour and demonstrated two experiments of using GC/MS and ATR-IR for gasoline analysis.

Ben, George, Kristi, and Tian participated in the CNSM Open House with two activities: 1. pH testing on common drinks; and 2. Ferrofluid demonstration with magnets.
2018 Santa Fe High School Outreach Event - 2/1/2018
Tian and grad student Phil hosted a chemistry lab tour for Santa Fe High students. We also demonstrated one experiment of using GC to quantify ethanol amount in gasoline. Thanks to our Beach alum, Walter O'Brien, for bringing in the students!
